Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl 2023

Shoppers and tourists in Newquay were startled on Saturday 28th October as over a thousand zombies took over the town centre for our annual Newquay Zombie Crawl, organised by Love Newquay and the Newquay Business Improvement District (BID). The event, featuring terrifying costumes, family crafting and a spooktacular parade throughout Newquay town grew in popularity this year with a record number of ‘undead’ participants joining in the fun.

To accommodate the rising demand, we decided to “super-size” the Halloween festivities. The day kicked off with family-friendly workshops, including freaky face painting, zombie outfit making, scary dance classes, storytelling, wound-making sessions, and ongoing entertainment.

In the afternoon, approximately 1,500 zombies, including clowns, pirates, and ghouls, paraded through Newquay’s main street. The trail concluded at various establishments hosting ‘Spooky Discos’ for after-party celebrations.
