Boardmasters Festival 2025

Established in 1981, Boardmasters is a 5-day event split over two festival sites in Newquay, Cornwall.

Watergate Bay is where you’ll find the main arena and campsites. It’s the most beautiful festival site in the UK! Think everything from big-name headline acts like Rae, Central Cee and The Prodigy, to yoga, silent disco, sea views, epic food and more.

While Watergate Bay remains the home of live music and camping, Fistral Beach has long been the beating heart of Boardmasters, hosting the prestigious Boardmasters OPEN surf competition each year. This globally renowned event draws the biggest names in international surfing, proudly showcasing world-class talent on UK waters.

Boardmasters is expanding its programming at Fistral Beach, including the return of the much-loved skate ramp on The Headland. The iconic location is steeped in heritage as the place where Boardmasters began in 1981 – and is set to host an even more action-packed series of events, offering an elevated experience for attendees and even more reasons to visit this vibrant hub of surf culture. Alongside the skate ramp will be a brand new talks stage, expanded surf village and food traders, partnership with Rising Tide eco-surf festival and activities for all ages.

For the tenth consecutive year, WSL will return for the Boardmasters Open. Pro Surfers will make their welcome return competing in the shortboard & longboard competitions. Plus, the next generation of groms will battle it out in the returning Junior Open competition.

Dive into an adrenaline-fueled spectacle with the return of the much-loved skate ramp. Witness electrifying showcases and masterful demonstrations from top talents in skateboarding and embrace Fistral’s rich legacy of skating & BMX sports.

The music festival takes place on the cliffs overlooking Watergate Bay, on the outskirts of Newquay.

This year’s line up includes Raye, Central Cee and The Prodigy, as well as afternoon special guests like Natasha Bedingfield and Kaiser Chiefs.

The Silent Disco on Wednesday and Thursday is the best way to kick off your festival weekend!
