The Killacourt is a hub for shopping, events, and picnics. A recent regeneration breathed life back into this large grassy area and now complete with a refurbished band stand, it is the happy home of events such as Newquay Pride and pop-up markets. Newquay’s own creatives and makers sell their wares in the newly installed wooden cabins, from seaside-inspired jewellery to handmade clothing and everything in between. Overlooking Towan beach with views stretching as far as Trevose Head, it’s also one of Newquay’s most Instagrammable backdrops. Head here for unrivalled views of the working harbour, the house on the island, and surfers catching the best of the waves.
