Boardmasters festival returns to Newquay in just 6 days time, on 7th August bringing with it an estimated £40million to the local economy each year.
It’s no secret that this is the best board riding festival there is as well as being home to the World Surf League International surfing competition. For the ninth consecutive year, WSL return for the Boardmasters Open. The best of UK and international surfers will go head-to-head in the country’s biggest surf competition. Pro Surfers make their welcome return competing in the shortboard & longboardcompetitions. Plus, the next generation of groms will battle it out in the returning Junior Open competition.
Spread between Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay the festival brings headliners Chase & Status, Sam Fender and Stormzy to the 5 day festival.
More than 220,000 thousand people descend on the town each year to enjoy starstudded lineup, golden beaches and world class waves.
Many of the towns businesses will be holding special offers throughout the week to accommodate for festival goers, from cafes, restaurant and bars to surf schools and hotels all hosted on the Boardmasters app and what’s best is that the regular shuttle buses drop you off right in the town.
